Commissioner for Gender Equality blames Witches for statutory rape

Gender Commissioner Mogane should know that the Witchcraft Suppression Act has been under review with the SA Law Reform Commission for the past 18 years, and the Law Reform Commission has recommended that the Act be repealed!
Act 3 of 1957 is not a catch-all for unaddressed GBV crimes against children!
The Commissioner should do her homework before she makes unsupported allegations of child abuse against South African Witches!

The South African Pagan Leaders Council does NOT act or speak for SAPRA!

The South African Pagan Leaders Council (SAPLC) and its members exercise no natural or delegated authority over the South African Pagan Rights Alliance (SAPRA) or its formal members.

Any further or future defamation against the Executive Members of SAPRA, or interference in the affairs of SAPRA, by the members of the SAPLC, shall be considered a hostile act against SAPRA’s independence and autonomous sovereignty.

A legal review of South Africa’s 1957 Witchcraft Suppression Act (2007 – 2025)

The Honourable President, and Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, It is my fervent hope that my legal advocacy for the recognition of the rights and dignity of South African Witches over the last 18 years will eventually result in the final repeal of the Witchcraft Suppression Act, and the end of legislative prejudice against Pagans and Traditional Healers.

I appeal to the Honourable President, Minister and Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development to finalise this review by recommending that the Witchcraft Suppression Act be repealed without further delay.
